Welcome to Zanpakuto-Club! We are a community dedicated to spilling more love on the Zanpakuto of the anime/manga Bleach while practicing and refining or artistic abilities. Our main focus is to help our members improve their art skills while having fun and meeting other fans of the Zanpakuto. We host a variety of club activities that we encourage everybody to participate in.

+25p per Entry - 11/14/09
Let me also add that each member who submits an entry for the contest will receive +25p. That's 15 more points than regular submissions get you.

And when submitting, can you please send the thumbnail instead of the link! There's a small paragraph at the bottom of Join/Submit explaining how to post thumbnails if you don't know how. I give out +10p for every submission sent in, but if you post the link and not the thumbnail I only give +5p.

Our First Contest - 11/13/09 Friday the 13th!
I'm so excited to have announced our first contest!! I chose the "if you were a zanpakuto" theme because that's going to make you have to really think about yourself and recognize your strengths and weaknesses.

PLEASE BE ORIGINAL! I'm gonna tell you right now, scythes (kazeshini), flower petals (senbonzakura) and twin zanpakutos (sogyo no kotowari and katen kyokotsu) are not original. If I see designs like that I'm automatically gonna think you ripped it off one of those zanpakuto. Be creative! Research weapon designs, doodle a few to get ideas! You don't have to base your designs off the real zanpakuto. There's so many weapons out there you can research that aren't common on Bleach: bows, lances, axes, maces, even guns.

And please be original with your name and release command. Don't use scatter, reap, roar, growl...You get my meaning. I'm encouraging originality. You have over two months to work on this project, be different from everyone else and have fun!

Trashing the Inactive Members Policy - 11/10/09
With the new points system I figured it's useless to keep the Inactive Members Policy. It's far easier to just reward the active members and let the inactive members see what they're missing out on. If you want to join and never respond or participate then fine, you'll just never earn any points to buy free commissions. Sounds fair to me.

Eh, I have one more journal to update and then I'm finished for today. I promise.

Contest on Friday! - 11/10/09
Get ready! Our first contest is going to be announced this upcoming Friday!!

Contest Prizes - 11/6/09
The contest will be announced next Friday and I do have a short list of prizes so far, but is there anybody willing to donate? Even if you plan on participating in the contest, you can still offer a prize. Apparently people don't like donating to anime clubs. I've been to the forums multiple times for just this contest and written journals, but still come up short. So anything you guys can offer will be appreciated!

Here's a list if you don't know what to donate but want to:
- Journal Features
- News Article Features
- Gift Art
- Critiques (I don't consider that much of a prize, but I've seen people offer it)
- Custom Icons/Stamps
- Custom Stock Packages
- Handmade Items (jewelry, plushies, etc.)
- Signed Prints From Your Gallery (easiest for photographers)
- Subscriptions (starting at one month and up)
- Offer to Buy Something From the Winner(s) wish list
- Offer to Buy a Certain Product from the dA Shop

New Submissions Guide, Tell Me What You Think - 11/5/09
I was thinking about discontinuing to submit "collection sets" and instead just make news articles to feature/post club submissions. *ArtisanCrafts practices that method. I know it'll be easier to view submissions and quicker for me to post them. What do you guys think?
